A Tail-Wagging Experience at The Duck Hook

Client: The Duck Hook – a vibrant, family-friendly and dog-friendly gastropub nestled in Dubai Hills Golf Club.

Objective

The venue wanted to celebrate National Puppy Day in a way that would engage its dog-loving community and show appreciation for their loyal patrons (both human and canine!). To create a fun, interactive activation that aligned with The Duck Hook’s dog-friendly brand and celebrated pet owners in a meaningful and memorable way.

The Workshop Hub Solution

To mark National Puppy Day, The Workshop Hub rolled in with our mobile “Hub” to host a pet-themed creative activation on site. Guests were invited to design and personalise custom bandanas or collars for their furry companions using fabric paints, iron-ons, and embellishments.

The experience was:

  • Inclusive: Welcoming families, kids, and dog parents alike.
  • Creative: Offering hands-on crafting that added a personal touch.
  • Engaging: Encouraging guests to stay longer and interact with one another.
  • Free: A surprise-and-delight moment that felt generous and genuine.

Results

  • High Participation: Dozens of dog owners enthusiastically joined in.
  • Positive Brand Association: Guests felt appreciated and valued.
  • Community Building: Encouraged conversation, laughter, and photos—many of which were shared on social media, organically boosting awareness.
  • Repeat Visits: Guests left with positive memories and a stronger connection to the venue.

Conclusion

The event created a feel-good atmosphere that aligned perfectly with The Duck Hook’s identity as a relaxed, community-focused, pet-welcoming space. It positioned the brand as thoughtful and customer-centric—willing to go the extra mile to connect with its patrons. With The Workshop Hub’s creativity and mobile setup, the venue delivered a unique and heartfelt experience that guests won’t soon forget.
